Endemol strikes deals for 101 Ways…

Endemol has struck deals for international versions of its 101 Ways to Leave a Gameshow format in Germany, Brazil and Turkey. The local versions of the series will all be produced in Endemol’s production hub in Argentina, utilising the same model used for the international versions of another of its physical gameshows, Wipeout.

Endemol Germany will make a 90-minute primetime version of the show for free-to-air broadcaster RTL, which will air this autumn. In Brazil, Globo has ordered a local version of the show and in Turkey, Fox has commissioned a first series.

The news follows an order for the US network version of the format from ABC.

101 Ways to Leave a Gameshow debuted on UK free-to-air broadcaster BBC One last weekend, winning its primetime slot with an average 25.7% share.

“The ratings success in the UK is an extremely strong start for this format, which we believe has great global potential,” Paul Römer, chief creative officer of Endemol Group said.

The company added that it will announce more international deals for the show soon.
