Int’l b’casters search for Undercover Boss

A raft of international broadcasters in Australia, Spain,  Israel and across Scandinavia are developing local versions of reality series Undercover Boss after striking deals with All3Media.

The international arm of the British producer and distributor has struck local deals in Australia, Belgium, Israel, Norway, Spain, Sweden and Turkey and options have also been signed in Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Finland, Germany, Italy, Mexico and New Zealand.

Danish public broadcaster DR has already aired the first season of its local version of the show, which is produced by Studio Lambert. The show originally aired on UK’s Channel 4 and subsequently launched in the United States on CBS, where it has just been recommissioned for a second season.

The tape of the 8x1hr US series has also been sold to a number of international networks including Network Ten (Australia), CTV (Canada), SVT (Sweden), TV Norge (Norway), TV2 (Denmark), TVNZ, MTV3 (Finland) and BBC in Africa, Asia and Poland.
