Labasque replacing Poussier as TF1’s kids boss

French commercial broadcaster TF1 has named Yann Labasque head of its youth unit. He will succeed TF1’s current kids director Dominique Poussier who is leaving TF1 this October to pursue personal projects.

Labasque, 38, will report to TF1 programming director Laurent Storch.

He is currently director of development at TF1’s commercial arm TF1 Enterprises, having originally joined the broadcaster in 1997, initially working at the international arm of its sports broadcaster Eurosport.

TF1 runs its morning kids block under the Tfou banner. It targets 4-to-10 year-olds and its most popular shows include Nickelodeon’s Dora the Explorer, Futurikon’s The Mini-Avengers and Marathon’s Totally Spies
