Silverman’s Electus strikes deal with Yahoo

Ben Silverman’s production company Electus has struck its first content deal – with online platform Yahoo.

The company, which is backed by Barry Diller’s InterActiveCorp (IAC), is set to announce the deal at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

The deal is expected to see Silverman produce shows for Yahoo in association with advertisers, part of his plan to create advertiser funded programming.

Silverman has reportedly also struck a number of talent deals including agreemets for projects with TV and radio host Ryan Seacreast, who runs his own eponymous production company, and Arrested Development stars Jason Bateman and Will Arnett.

Yahoo has said that the shows will be launched over the next few months.
